Recipe: Carmelized Snickerdoodles or Snickerdoodles with brown sugar - my brother's recipes
This recipe is one that is near and dear to my heart. The reason? This is the first recipe I developed myself together with my younger brother. My brother, Greg, was maybe 11 and I was around 14 when we came up with this one together. We both wanted to make cookies and started out making chocolate chip cookies. Halfway through mixing the dough, we realized that we didn't have any chocolate chips... So, we turned the recipe card over and using the basis we already had, we continued with a snickerdoodles recipe to finish them. Oddly enough, they tasted amazing and quickly became a family favorite. They're a bit sweet, but are soft and chewy and delicious. We originally called them Snicker-Chips because the recipe was halfway between chocolate chip cookies and snickerdoodles, but since that name doesn't really tell you what it is, I decided to call them caramelized snickerdoodles, because in the end, they are very similar to snickerdoodles, with brown sugar as well.
