Paw Patrol / Unicorn Combined Birthday Cake

 My daughter's birthday theme this year is Paw Patrol. Because of the pandemic, we knew we couldn't invite lots of friends over. So, we decided to invite one friend. It just so happens, however, that this friend also has a birthday the day before my daughter. So, hey, let's make it a double birthday party! Her friend's theme? Unicorns. Let's do it. I decided to use my daughter's stuffed animal as a model for the unicorn. I rolled out some white fondant and sketched in a unicorn with a sharp fondant tool and cut it out with a knife. Then I pressed the design a bit deeper into the fondant. I added a ball of black fondant into the eye. I rolled snakes of pink, turquoise and lavender to form the mane. And I painted the horn gold with edible gold paint. I set this aside and allowed it to dry before using it. I also made some 2D Paw Patrol figures for Natalie's side.
