Recipe: Easy Peach Cobbler

Image
This is a great recipe for winter because it uses canned peaches. It's also really easy to make. Double plus. Peach Cobbler: 1 large can (820g) peaches in syrup 1 cup (125g) flour 1 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp salt 1/4 tsp baking soda 3/4 cup (150g) sugar 1/2 cup (125g) melted butter 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional) In a medium mixing bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, baking soda, sugar, cinnamon and melted butter.  Spread about 1/3 of the mixture along the bottom of the baking pan.  Add the peaches (cut in pieces if you have halves) with the juice into the pan. You can use all the liquid, or not, as you prefer.  Spoon the rest of the flour mixture over the peaches.  Bake at 350°F or 180°C for 40-45 minutes. This is a super easy recipe and tastes great all year round! Recipe: Baked Apples

Image
This is a great fall recipe. Baked Apples: 4 apples 1/4 cup (50g) brown sugar 1 tsp cinnamon 1/4 cup (25g) chopped pecans 1/4 cup (50g) raisins 1 tbsp butter 3/4 cup (175mL) water Cut out the core of the apples without cutting all the way through the apple. Leave about 1 cm at the bottom of the apple intact.  In a small bowl, combine brown sugar, cinnamon, pecans and raisins.  Place the apples in a small baking dish and spoon in sugar mixture into the hole in the apples.  When the apples are full, add a dab of butter to the top.  Pour water into the dish.  Bake at 375°F or 190°C for about 30-35 minutes. These baked apples are really delicious. Like a warm combination of applesauce, raisins and pecans.
