Bread Baking: Mancatcher Breadsticks - Garlic Breadsticks

These amazing garlic breadsticks are from a friend of mine who call them "Mancatcher" Breadsticks. I love that! I think it's hilarious. The idea is that if you make these for a boyfriend or potential partner, they will never want to leave you because they're that good. :D

Mancatcher Breadsticks:
1 tbsp dry yeast
2 tbsp sugar
1 tsp salt
1 1/2 cups (340mL) warm water
4 cups (500g) flour
1/4 cup (70g) melted butter
2 tbsp garlic powder
2 tbsp Italian herbs
grated hard cheese (like parmesan)
sea salt

Mix the yeast, water and sugar together and let stand for 10 minutes until foam forms on top of the water.

Mix in flour and salt. Knead the rest of the flour in when you can't stir it in anymore until mixture forms a soft dough. Cover and allow to rise 10 minutes.
Roll into 9-inch long strips. This will make 8-10.
Lay them in a 9x13 inch baking dish. Pour the melted butter in the baking dish. Roll the breadsticks in the butter. Sprinkle herbs, garlic powder, parmesan cheese and sea salt according to taste.
Bake at 375°F or 190°C for 20-25 minutes. Cut in half before serving.
These breadsticks are bursting with flavor and are really delicious.
Enjoy!
