Tutorial: Cake Pops How To

This is a tutorial on how to make cake pops.

First, you need three things: cake of whatever flavor you prefer. I am using cookies and cream cake. Buttercream of whatever flavor you prefer. I am using Oreo buttercream. And melted chocolate or candy melts. Mine is dark chocolate.

First, crumble the cake to crumbs.
Then spoon some buttercream into it and knead it in until the dough becomes the consistency of play-doh.
Form the mixture into balls.
I take a few at a time and freeze them for a few minutes to make sure they're nice and firm.
Then, dip some lollipop sticks into some of your melted chocolate and push them into the frozen cake pops.
Put them back in the freezer for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to set up.
Then, dip the cake pops in the chocolate and decorate them however you want: with sprinkles like I did, or fondant or more chocolate, etc. You can also have them set up upright to keep them nicely round, but I don't have a cake pop stand and I didn't have a spare piece of styrofoam, so I decided to let them set up cake pop down.
Pick them up with the help of a spatula to loosen them from the plate. Enjoy!
