Recipe: Chocolate Chip Cake

This is one of my most viewed blog posts, even though it didn't contain a complete recipe. So, I decided to make a new post with video about it.

Chocolate Chip Cake:1/3 cup (80g) butter
2/3 cup (150mL) vegetable oil
2 cups (400g) sugar
1 tbsp vanilla extract
½ tsp salt
1 tbsp baking powder
2 ¾ cups (345g) flour
1 cup (225mL) milk
6 egg whites, beaten to stiff peaks
2 cups of chocolate chips or 300g dark chocolate bars chopped into chunks.
First, cream the butter until fluffy. Add sugar and oil and mix until creamy and combined.
Add vanilla. Add salt and baking powder. Alternate flour and milk, mixing between each addition until just combined.

Fold in egg whites.
Fold in chocolate chips or chocolate chunks.






Bake in greased and lined baking form for 30-45 minutes or until toothpick inserted into the cake comes out clean.
 This recipe is light and fluffy and gorgeous. It's one of my favorites.
