Recipe: Lemon American Buttercream
Now that I have a recipe for lemon cake, we need lemon buttercream! I decided to alter my recipe for American buttercream to be lemon flavored.
Lemon American Buttercream:
3-4 cups (500g) powdered sugar
1/2 cup (125g) butter
2-4 tbsp freshly squeezed lemon juice
Cream butter.
Add powdered sugar half at a time. Add lemon juice a tablespoon at a time as needed to obtain consistency.
Beat as long as you want to get the buttercream nice and fluffy. You can't overbeat this.
