Tutorial: How to Make a Simple Elsa Figure

Continuing from our last tutorial, we're making an equally simple Elsa figurine to top a cake.

I started out with some light blue fondant and added tylo powder to it to stiffen it. Do not forget this step, or it won't end well.

Roll the body with a thinner portion in the middle where the waist is. Cut the top and bottom flat.
Add a piece of flesh-colored fondant to the shoulders and a piece for the neck. Don't forget the toothpick in the center for stability.
Roll some arms with blue fondant and glue them onto the shoulders and at the hips. Then cut some mitten-shaped hands out of flesh-colored fondant. Then I added a ball of flesh-colored fondant for the head and add it to the toothpick. I covered the back of the head with light yellow fondant.
Then I made a small braid out of the same light yellow fondant.
I glued the braid over one shoulder and rolled a few small snakes of fondant to indicate hair motion toward the back of the head. I also painted on a simple face. Two black eyes and a red mouth.
So, very simple, but you can tell from a distance that she's Elsa.
