Bread Baking: Quick, Sweet Nut Bread

This nut bread is a recipe that I probably made once a week when I was in college. I still love it. It's less sweet than banana bread, but just as fast and easy.

Nut Bread:
3 cups (375g) flour
1 cup (200g) sugar
1 3/4 cup (395mL) milk
1/4 cup (55mL) oil
1 egg
1 tbsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup (115g) chopped nuts (walnuts, hazelnuts, almonds or pecans are best)

The nice part about this recipe, is that you basically just add everything to a big bowl (minus the nuts).
Stir with a spoon until combined.
Fold in the nuts.
Pour into a greased and lined bread baking form.
Bake at 350°F or 180°C for 45-55 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
You can remove it from the pan by just lifting the paper out.
Let the bread cool completely before cutting or it might be a bit crumbly. But not if it's completely cool.
This bread is soft and cake-like, but not too sweet like cake. Just a lightly sweet bread.
Happy baking.
