Roses Baptism Cake

This cake is for the 8-year-old daughter's friend for her baptism. She helped design the cake.

So, Leonie wanted a figure of herself on top of the cake. I can't make realistic figures, so my figures are quite stylized. I made a little body in a dress and thin white sleeves.

Then I added hands and a neck as well as a toothpick to add stability.
I added a round head.
And a brown piece of hair on the back of the head.
I added some thin locks of hair around the head and painted on a kawaii style face.
Then I cut out a whole lot of circles from pink fondant and made a whole bunch of fondant roses out of them.

I frosted the cake. This is a 6-inch vanilla cake with vanilla Swiss meringue buttercream.
And I covered it in white fondant.
Then I used this fondant press mold to form the letters of Leonie's name.

And placed it on the cake.
I placed the figure in the middle on top of the cake and placed the roses around the cake in groups.

I made a handful of green leaves.
And I placed them under the roses.
I think this cake turned out gorgeous!
It's exactly what Leonie wanted.
She was so happy with it.
And I love it as well.
Congratulations, Leonie!
