Recipe: Homemade Cranberry Sauce
This is a Thanksgiving classic. Impossible to find already made in Germany, but you can sometimes find fresh cranberries.
Cranberry Sauce:
4 cups (350g) fresh or frozen cranberries
1 cup (250mL) water
1 cup (200g) sugar
1 tbsp orange zest
In a medium saucepan, bring water and sugar to boil.
While the water is coming to a boil, rinse the cranberries and remove any spoiled ones. Add the rinsed cranberries and the orange zest to the syrup.
Simmer cranberries until they all burst.
Remove from heat.
