Christmas Village Cake

This is a cake I've been thinking about for a while. I love a good Christmas village.

I didn't want to make my own gingerbread cookies this time, so I decided to use store-bought cookies. These are called Spekulatius. But you can use any store-bought festive cookies you want to.

I decorated them with royal icing to look like townhouses.
Didn't they turn out cute?
Then I frosted two tiers of cake dummies with vegan American buttercream. 6-inch and 4-inch.
I pressed some townhouses around the sides.
Then I placed some candy canes between the houses.
Then I piped some more royal icing on top of the cake and between the tiers and added some blue and silver sprinkles.
I love this sweet and easy Christmas cake. It's adorable and very festive.
Merry Christmas.
